In simple terms, a quantum is the smallest unit capable of exhibiting the properties of a certain substance or physical energy, referring to an indivisible fundamental entity. Figuratively, it can be described as a tiny, multidimensional sprite.
Quantum technology is based on the magical properties of quantum coherence, superposition, entanglement, wave-particle duality, tunneling, quantum teleportation, and so on, thereby enhancing the powerful computing capability of computers, the security of communications, and the precision of measurements. We manipulate quantum phenomena to serve humanity. The most difficult aspect of quantum technology is controlling quantum states!
I. The 2012 Nobel Prize in Physics: 'For the measurement and manipulation of individual quantum systems,' using 'ion traps' to control and compute qubits, demonstrating what is possibly the world's first quantum coherence logic gate (thereby making the exponential advancement of quantum computers possible).
II. The reason for the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics was "for verifying quantum entanglement and pioneering quantum information science" (quantum parallel computing, limitless communication, and quantum antenna radar…)
III. In October 2025, the Nobel Prize in Physics was once again awarded to scientists in the field of quantum mechanics, for the reason 'quantum tunneling' (which happens to be strong evidence for our quantum exploration of mineral resources and the measurement of A-piao in Jiangmen).
Quantum technology is recognized as one of the most transformative frontier technologies of the 21st century and a new type of productive force, having become a strategic high ground in global competition. Countries such as the United States, China, and those in Europe have listed it as a national strategy and invested heavily in research and development. According to McKinsey's forecast, by 2030, the quantum technology market is expected to reach a scale of one trillion U.S. dollars.
As the most advanced industry, quantum technology has been repeatedly included in the Communist Party's government development reports, the Fourth Plenary Session of the Party held in October 2025, and the 15th Five-Year Plan. Quantum technology is listed as the most promising industry for the future, and over the next 10 years, it aims to recreate another high-tech industry in China. Policies emphasize encouraging, rewarding, and supporting multiple parties while also requiring the development of patient capital and high-quality funds – quantum is a good investment track!
